What Must I Do To Be Saved?! |
|
|
My friend, I am so glad I have the opportunity to ask you this question: Are you saved? If you had just come out of a burning building, the answer would be quick off your tongue, as well as if you were rescued from a violent storm by which there was no hope of land - and now stand safe and sound on shore. However, neither of those conditions face you sitting at your computer screen, yet if you are without Christ, the Bible is very clear that a man is lost and without hope in this world because of his sin. The Bible tells us "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:15) This verse is teaching us that what a man forfeits when he rejects God's Son as his Saviour is eternal life, that is life with God in heaven. In John 17 Jesus prayed, And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. Now, both this verse and the one earlier causes us to point out two important Bible truths: What does it mean to 'know' Jesus, and what does it mean to 'believe' on him, both of which are necessary to have this eternal life? Please listen carefully! |

God Did All Of This For You! |
- Jesus explained that there would be people who would go around saying "Lord, Lord," as though they personally knew the Lord. But they would meet the Lord at the judgment, and the Lord would look at them and say, I never knew you. Relationships with people are established by both persons knowing each other. If you know God, have you come to Him for salvation through His Son Jesus Christ.
- To believe according to the Bible means that you accept the facts of a truth, and are willing to respond. You don'y really believe a plane is safe unless you're willing to fly on it. You're not really trusting Christ as your Saviour unless you come to him in prayer and ask him to be your Lord. Now, what are the facts you need to believe? You are a sinner seperated from a holy God, who must punish sin but loves you. Jesus is the only Saviour, who received God's wrath for sin on the cross in your place so you could be forgiven by a holy God. He rose from the dead to prove God accepted his death, thereby able to justify the sinner who trusts in him. You must believe this and ask Jesus to be your Saviour in prayer. Find a quiet place right now, and pray to the Lord, (1) Acknowledging to him that you are a sinner, (2) Believing that he is the Saviour, and (3) Calling upon Him to save you from your sins.

Home Bible Study for Children and Adults |
- The West End Community Baptist Church officially endorses the Source of Light correspondance Bible study courses. This is an excellent Bible-based home study for children and adults that uses repetition and/or instructive Bible stories to teach important principles.
- As a student completes a booklet, questions are given at the end of the lessons that can be answered from what was read. When the student completes a course consisting of a series of booklets, they receive an attractive certificate. If you would like to enroll yourself or a child, just contact us. Give us the name of the student, adult or child, their age if they are a child, and the mailing address where the first booklet can be sent; it's that easy, and the Church purchases the booklets. (Your only expense would be if you mail us your test pages). You can Contact us by email or by phone. Do it today, and get started!
