Our Statement of Faith

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES:

We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible, that the Bible is God's word and revelation to man and therefore is our only authority in matters of faith and practice. We will hold to the teaching and text of the King James Version.

THE TRUE GOD:

We believe in the unity and trinity of the God-head, ie; one God, eternally existing in three persons; the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

THE CREATION;

We believe that the universe and man both came into being by direct creation by God as recorded in Genesis.

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST:

We believe in Jesus Christ as God's only begotten Son and our only Mediator; in His incarnation; His virgin birth; His substitutionary atonement; pretribulational return to rapture the church and His literal, premillennial return from Heaven to set up His kingdom.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit; in His personality and Deity; that He is active in regeneration, sanctification and preservation of the Believer; that He is the third person of the Trinity.

THE DEVIL/SATAN:

We believe in the reality and personality of Satan; that though he was once holy, through pride and ambition fell from glory drawing a host of angels with him; that he is at present the god of this age, the prince and power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. We believe in his defeat as brought by the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that his final judgment will bind him eternally to the lake of fire.

SALVATION:

We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ through His substitutionary atonement for our sin; that salvation is apart from any human merit, works, or ceremonies.

MAN:

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned in Adam, becoming totally depraved and is now a sinner by nature and by choice.

THE CHURCH:

We believe that the church is the spiritual body of which Christ is the Head; that there is a two-fold aspect to the church: universal and local; that the church is autonomous in function, being free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority; that the only scriptural way for support of the church is by free-will offerings, and that God's richest blessings are bestowed upon those who tithe.

THE ORDINANCES:

We believe in the immersion of the Believer in water as the only Biblical Baptism; prerequisite to church membership. We believe in the communion of the Lord's supper as a privilege only to those who are Believers in Christ.

THE GREAT COMMISSION:

We believe that the great commission as found in Mk 16:15 has not yet been fulfilled, and that it is the primary mission of the church to carry out this command.

THE RESURRECTION

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; of the eternal existence of all men either in Heaven or Hell's lake of fire; in Divine judgment, rewards and punishments.
